Tummala Urges Investment in Agri-processing Units in Telangana
Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao at meeting with Malayasia govt officials
Hyderabad: Minister for Agriculture Tummala Nageswara Rao on Friday continued his visit to Malaysia for the third consecutive day, focusing on strengthening agricultural ties and inviting investments in agri-processing units in Telangana.
As part of his tour, Tummala Nageswara Rao met Malaysia's Agriculture Minister, Mohammad bin Sabu, at his office and discussed collaborative opportunities in the agriculture.
The Minister also held discussions with FELDA Chairman, Ahmad Shabery Cheek, and other representatives. They explored the advancements made in Malaysia's oil palm sector and identified best practices that could benefit Telangana’s oil palm farmers.
Additionally, Tummala accepted an invitation from India’s High Commissioner to Malaysia, BN Reddy, for a special meeting to further foster bilateral cooperation.
In an effort to explore mechanisation, the Minister also visited Tenasia Private Limited (PalmPro), where he reviewed a variety of machinery and equipment, along with their operational methodologies, which could enhance agricultural practices back home in Telangana.
