Telangana Seed Festival from April 4

Hyderabad: Council for Green Revolution will be conducting the proposed ‘Telangana Seed Festival’, titled as “Vitthanala Panduga” an endeavour and appeal for a united front and campaign, reflecting our shared concerns, to be jointly organised at Hyderabad from April 4 to 6 at The Earth Centre, Anumaspalli, Kadthal, Ranga Reddy district . The event will hopefully lay the foundation for ongoing sharing and cooperation – for wider dissemination of our seed wealth and biodiversity-related knowledge for inclusive, ecological self-reliance in harmony with nature; and for sustained peoples’ pressure for public policy correction towards such purpose.
But alongside the challenges, we need to celebrate what we have. The First Telangana Annual Seed Festival will be vibrantly festive and colourful, with irrepressible energy. “Let us celebrate the infinite imagination of nature. Let us live and let live!”, said Krishna Prasad, Director, Sahaja Samrudha Foundation, Dr (Prof.) Dhonti Narasimha Reddy, Policy Expert – Legal Framework on Seed Sovereignty, R. Dileep Reddy, Senior Advisor, Council for Green Revolution. Chairperson: Leela Laxma Reddy, President, Council for Green Revolution, Hyderabad.
