Telangana Caste Census will be a Milestone in History: CM Revanth

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy stated that the caste survey carried out by the Congress government in Telangana will be a milestone in history.

During a meeting with leaders from the Backward Communities, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was thanked for implementing two laws that allocate a 42 percent quota for these communities in education, employment, and political representation.

In his remarks on the occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted that the State government has conducted the caste survey transparently and has diligently ensured that the policy document remains accurate at all times.

"It is an honour for us to be part of this initiative. The government has not only created a document, but has also passed legislation for the BC quota. Two separate bills have been approved by the Legislative Assembly to secure political reservations and ensure a quota in education and jobs. Our aim is to establish the state as a model for the entire country," he expressed.

The Chief Minister has urged the BC community to avoid being misled by individuals seeking political gain by exploiting caste issues.

"If the BCs criticise the caste survey, they will only end up suffering the consequences. Interfering with the process from the outset will result in injustice for the BCs. They need to take initiative in advocating for their rights, and I will support all BC communities in this effort," Revanth Reddy said.
