Shift Numaish to city outskirts, BJP MLA Raja Singh urges CM

Hyderabad: Goshamahal BJP MLA Raja Singh has made crucial comments on the famous Numaish, which is held every year at Nampally Exhibition Ground in Hyderabad. Stating that the exhibition was being organized in the middle of the city, he said there was a huge traffic jam with thousands of people pouring into it. He also said vehicular movement was being disrupted for hours due to the exhibition.

Raja Singh recalled incidents of fire accidents in Numaish in the past. Being a narrow space, the damage is more likely to occur when such accidents occur, he said. He demanded that the Numaish be shifted to the other side of the city. He appealed to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to conduct the Numaish on 100 to 200 acres of land outside Hyderabad city.

Raja Singh said those who come to the Numaish were being looted in the name of parking fee. "Is it right to charge Rs 150 for parking a car,” he asked. Raja Singh alleged that there was a big scam in the allotment of the Numaish parking lot and asked whether a tender was called for the finalisation of the parking charges. He clarified that the district Collector had not contacted them on the parking charges. He said the government should ask the organisers to take steps to provide free parking facility for those coming for the Numaish exhibition.
