Hyderabad: The surge in food poisoning in government hostels and Gurukuls across the Telangana State have sparked political tension, with accusations flying between the ruling Congress and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi ( BRS).

Minister Seethakka made sensational remarks, alleging a conspiracy behind the spate of food poisoning incidents.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, Seethakka hinted that the conspirators would soon be exposed. She warned that if officials were found complicit, they would face termination without leniency. Furthermore, the Minister speculated that a political party might be orchestrating these incidents to tarnish the government’s reputation.

She also criticised the BRS government for granting permissions to an ethanol factory in Dilawarpur during its tenure. Seethakka accused the previous administration of ignoring public opposition to the project and granting approvals recklessly.

Seethakka further alleged that the company director, Talasani Sai Kiran, had close ties to the BRS leadership, particularly working president KT Rama Rao.

She challenged KTR to visit Dilawarpur and address the public, urging him to admit his role in approving the ethanol factory. She stated that her government would initiate a discussion in the Assembly about the factory’s establishment and promised to expose documents related to the permissions granted by the previous BRS government.

Accusing KTR of making baseless allegations against the Congress government, the Minister called for transparency and accountability. “If KTR has genuine intentions, let him come forward and own up to the decisions taken during his government’s tenure,” she demanded.
