SCR Presents ‘Employee of the Month’ Safety Awards to 14 Employees

Hyderabad: South Central Railway, General Manager Arun Kumar Jain presented “Employee of the Month” safety awards for the month of February, 2025 to 14 employees during safety review meeting held on Mondayat Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad.
The Employee of the month awards are given to the staff, who have shown extraordinary alertness and dedication to the duty preventing unsafe conditions. Neeraj Agrawal, Additional
General Manager, SCR participated in the meeting along with all the Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRMs) of all six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded joined the review meeting through video conference.
General Manager presented the “Employee of the month” safety awards to the staff pertaining to Secunderabad Division – 03; Hyderabad Division – 02; Vijayawada Division – 03; Guntakal Division – 04 and Nanded Division – 02 for taking swift action to prevent unsafe conditions. The employees belong to various categories like loco pilots, assistant loco pilots, Station Master, Station Superintendent, Points Man, track maintainers, technicians and gate man.
The General Manager congratulated the awardees and appreciated them for the commitment in discharging their duties with utmost dedication.
Later, the General Manager held a detailed review on safety of train operations. He assessed the progress of various on-going safety drives on the zone pertaining to different departments such as Signal & Telecommunications, Engineering, Mechanical etc. He instructed the officials to continue counseling sessions to field level staff for enhanced safety in train operations.
The General Manager also held a detailed discussion on security of passengers in the MMTS and Sub-urban trains. He advised Principal Chief Security Commissioner to co-ordinate with the Government Railway Police for ensuring enhanced security to women passengers.
He also reviewed the trespassing of cattle on tracks in vulnerable sections. He took stock of the precautionary measures implemented by the divisions and advised to further carry out more safety drives and counseling sessions for cattle farmers.
