SCR GM Conducts Safety Inspection of Vijayawada Division

Hyderabad: Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook safety inspection of - Kakinada – Samalkot – Rajamundry – Nidadavolu – Eluru section of Vijayawada Division on March 12. He was accompanied by Narendra Patil, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division and other senior officials throughout the inspection.

The General Manager commenced the inspection at Kakinada Port running room, wherein he examined facilities available for the loco crew and interacted with the crew members. He also planted saplings at the running room towards promotion of green environment. Further, he carried out a detailed inspection of Samalkot Railway station, where he reviewed the passenger amenities available. He also inspected the station master’s office and circulating area.

Arun Kumar Jain conducted inspection of Rajahmundry Railway station and reviewed the passenger facilities and circulating area of the station. He also interacted with the staff members and discussed on further developmental plans with the officials. He conducted a detailed inspection of the Godavari Railway Bridge and reviewed the safety aspects of the bridge and Rail tracks.

The General Manager proceeded to Nidadavolu Railway station, wherein he reviewed the progress of redevelopment works undertaken at the station as part of Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. He also received representation from various public representatives regarding Rail developmental works pertaining to their region.

Later, the General Manager inspected Level Crossing Gate No. 368 at Kms No. 528/2, wherein he reviewed the safety aspects and examined the official records. Further, the General Manager carried out a detailed inspection of Eluru Railway station, wherein he reviewed the passenger amenities and facilities available. He also inspected the station master’s office and reviewed the entries.
