SCR bags All India Performance Efficiency Shields among all zones

Hyderabad: South Central Railway achieved the highest recognition at National Level by bagging two “All India Performance Efficiency Shields” among all Zones across Indian Railways at the 69th Railway Week Awards – Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar function held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, on December 21. In recognition of the exceptional performance displayed by the Zone during the last year, SCR has been bestowed with All India Performance Efficiency shields for Civil Engineering (jointly with Western Railway and Southern Railway) and Civil Engineering, Construction (jointly with Central Railway and East Central Railway) Departments.

The shields were presented by Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways during the function. Altogether, 101 Railway Employees from various Zonal Railways all over the country received the outstanding certificates and awards from the Railway Minister. besides, 22 Shields were also given to various Railways, Production Units & Railway PSUs for their outstanding performance and efficiencies.

SCR General Manager Arun Kumar Jain, along with the concerned Principal Heads of the Departments Satya Prakash, Chief Administrative Officer/Construction, SCR. (Civil Engineering Construction Shield); P.S. Brahmanandam, Principal Chief Engineer, SCR (Civil Engineering Shield) received the Shields from the Railway Minister. Three Officers and Three Staff of SCR viz., Javvadi Venkata Anoosha, Senior Divisional Engineer, Co-ordination, Guntur; Rambabu Vavilapalli, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Vijayawada; Sumit Sharma, Principal, Zonal Railway Training Institute, Moula Ali; Anthony Dorai Raj, Chief Commercial Inspector/Chief Commercial Supervisor, Headquarters; P Adinarayana, Senior Section Engineer (P Way), Construction, Guntur; Kamarapu Vinod, Senior Section Engineer, OHE, Kazipet, Secunderabad have received the Individual award, Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar at the hands of Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Railway Minister.

GM Arun Kumar Jain complimented the team of Officials & Staff for their dedication which led to the achievement of performance efficiency shields at National level. He also congratulated the staff and officers, who have been bestowed with individual awards and appreciated their commendable performance. He also stated that South Central Railway will continue to exhibit outstanding performance in the current financial year.
