Hyderabad: The Supreme Court has taken serious objection to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's remarks on grant of bail to BRS leader K Kavitha in the Delhi excise policy case.
During the hearing plea to transfer trial against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in cash for votes case outside Telangana on Thursday, the Supreme Court expressed displeasure with Revanth Reddy making derogatory remarks against the top court.
The Chief Minister said that BRS MLC Kavitha got bail due to an agreement between the Bharatiya Janata Party and Bharat Rashtra Samithi.
The Supreme Court took the remarks seriously and asked if a person holding the position of Chief Minister should speak like this.
The Supreme Bench headed by Justice BR Gavai criticised Revanth Reddy's behavior and stated that his comments would create doubts in the minds of people about the orders.
The Court clarified that even if criticisms come their way, they will not be bothered, but will continue to perform their duties as per their conscience.
