Fervour marks Srirama Navami Celebrations at Bhadrachalam

Hyderabad: Thousands of worshippers gathered to witness the divine wedding of Lord Ram and his wife Sita, celebrated with great devotion and grandeur during the Sri Rama Navami festival in Bhadrachalam, located in the Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Sunday.
Bhadrachalam, often referred to as the Ayodhya of the South, was filled with festive spirit as the temple town welcomed numerous devotees who came to partake in the Sri Rama Navami celebrations at the historic Sri Seetharamachandra Swamy temple.
The Midhila stadium, adorned with flowers at the center of the temple town, echoed with Vedic chants as many attendees experienced the majestic celestial marriage, fully immersed in spiritual joy.
Before the ceremony, the processional idols, beautifully decorated and other radiant jewelry, were transported to the site in a formal procession.
The temple priests conducted the divine marriage of Lord Rama and his wife Sita during the favorable Abhijit Lagnam, which filled the devotees with a sense of religious joy.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and his wife Geetha presented silk clothes and pearl necklaces to the deities on behalf of the state government. Additionally, Chairman BR Naidu of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) offered silk clothes to Lord Rama.
Notable attendees at the celestial wedding included Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Konda Surekha, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, and Principal Secretary (Endowments) Shailaja Ramaiyer.
Earlier, the temple priests welcomed Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and his wife with the chanting of Vedic hymns. They later had the opportunity to pay their respects to Lord Rama and take part in special rituals at the temple.
