Public Grievances should be Resolved at the Earliest: GHMC Commissioner Ilambarthi

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner Ilambarthi has directed the officials to resolve the complaints expeditiously, giving priority to the Prajavani programme.

The Commissioner participated in the Prajavani programme held at the GHMC head office on Monday and received petitions seeking their problems from the people who had come seeking resolution of various issues.

Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner instructed the officials to examine the complaints received in the public domain from time to time and resolve the issues at the earliest. The authorities should take special initiative to solve the problems of the people, he said.

Three requests were received through prajavani's phone-in programme and they were sent to the respective departments for resolution.

Of the 46 requests received during the Prajavani programme held at the GHMC headquarters, 21 were received by the town planning department, five each for fa and health departments, four for electrical department, two each for sports, CE maintenance, estate, LWS and housing departments and one complaint each for vigilance department.

A total of 80 applications were received in the six zones under the GHMC limits. Of these, 33 complaints were received in Kukatpally zone, nine in Serilingampally zone, 14 in LB Nagar zone, 21 in Secunderabad zone and three in Charminar zone and no complaints were received in Khairatabad zone.

Additional Commissioners Shiva Kumar Naidu, Nalini Padmavathi, Venugopal Reddy, Geetha Radhika, Pankaja, Saroja, Raghu Prasad, Satyanarayana, Subhadra Devi, Chandrakanth Reddy, CE Devanand, Koteswara Rao, Additional CCPs Gangadhar, Pradeep, CM&HO Dr Padmaja, Joint Commissioners Mahesh Kulkarni, Housing SE Krishna Rao, PV Ramana Rajeshwar Rao, Water Works G M Sai Ramana and others participated in the event.
