Hyderabad: The FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) Hyderabad Chapter opens the FLO Hyderabad Centre of Excellence. The Centre was formally inaugurated on Tuesday morning by its Past National President, FLO Pinky Reddy.

In the entire FLO network spanning 20 chapters across India, Hyderabad is the first to launch a Centre of Excellence. The Centre, located at Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. It is designed to equip women with skills, knowledge, and opportunities to advance in their personal and professional journeys. The Past Chairpersons' Council will manage it.

Speaking on the occasion Reddy said 'We have been talking about it for 15 years and now that dream has become a reality. It is the need of the hour because it fosters expertise, promotes best practices, and drives innovation, leading to improved efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness, ultimately enhancing competitive advantage.

Giving her opening remarks Priya Gazdar, Chairperson of FLO Hyderabad said - “Today marks a historic milestone for FLO Hyderabad as we bring to life the collective vision of our past leadership - the FLO Hyderabad Centre of Excellence. For grassroots women, it will be a space for job-readiness skilling, vocational training, and financial and digital literacy. Beyond learning and training, the CoE will also serve as the operational backbone of FLO Hyderabad.”

The FLO Hyderabad Centre of Excellence has a training hall which can accommodate up to 60 participants, 4 cubicles for the admin staff and 4 cabins for Committee meetings.

The interiors of the centre are done tastefully with an impact and an achievement wall featuring evocative images of many of its initiatives such as the ones supporting dying weaves such as Gollabhama, Telia Rumal, Narayanpet weaves and Cheriyal Painting. 40,000 women were impacted through their various initiatives. Over a lakh saplings were planted. Images of the pylons installed by FLO were on display, as well as images of the Past Chairpersons on the Meet the Visionaries wall.

On display also were the initiatives of the year 2024-25, the MSME Schemes Ready Reckoner, and 3 white papers on - 01. Empowering Women Farmers through sustainable growth; 02. Work opportunities for young urban women living in slum areas and 03. Sustaining heritage weaves of Gollabhama, Muthyamgadi and handloom livelihoods in Siddipet were showcased.
