Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner Ilambarthi has directed the concerned department officials to pay special attention to controlling illegal constructions in the city.
The Commissioner participated in the Prajavani programme organised at the GHMC head office on Monday and assured that they would take steps to resolve the issue by receiving petitions from the people, who had come to seek resolution of various issues.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner said the respective authorities should take special initiative to solve the problems of the people. He also said the main purpose of prajavani was to help the people. The Commissioner made it clear that HoDs must attend the Prajavani programme every week.
He said most of the complaints were coming from the Town Planning Department in Prajavani and added that appropriate steps should be taken to completely control the illegal constructions. He said a review meeting should be held every month with DCs, section officers, town planning officers to find out the number of complaints received and the number of notices issued as per rules? He suggested that the complaints should be looked into and action should be taken and resolved.
The legal officer has been asked to review all the court cases by the Commissioner. The CMHO has been directed to regularly review and make minutes of issuance of birth and death certificates and all other aspects related to the Health department. The chief veterinary officer has been asked to provide details of complaints received by the veterinary department and a report on centre-wise sterilized dogs. He said officials of all departments should look into the complaints received in the public domain and take steps to resolve them expeditiously.
The Commissioner also directed OSD Anuradha to record all the complaints received in Prajavani on the computer department-wise and also give details of frequent complaints from such circles, such as the number of complaints received from which circle and what issues were coming from the circles.
