Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced that the Congress government is committed to the comprehensive development of Telangana State across various sectors.
Speaking to the media at the Secretariat here on Tuesday, Revanth Reddy noted that Telangana has secured a historic level of investments totaling Rs 1.80 lakh crore at the recently conducted World Economic Forum in Davos, emphasising that the State government will persist in its efforts to attract further investments.
"Our goal is to transform Telangana into a one trillion economy. Additionally, this Congress administration will uphold all decisions made by the previous government that contribute to the overall advancement of the State," Revanth Reddy said.
He further expressed that the State government will ensure the provision of necessary land allocations for investments and will actively support these institutions in every possible manner.
Revanth Reddy stated, "The government of Telangana has entered into agreements with an information technology enterprise based in Singapore. This memorandum of understanding will be beneficial for advancing our technological capabilities in the future."
In response to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party’s criticisms regarding investments from Davos, the Chief Minister emphasized their effort to attract foreign investments.
He remarked, "During the previous administration, BRS leaders transferred funds overseas and misrepresented the money embezzled here as foreign investment."
Alleging that a leader in the opposition party is suffering from attention disorder, the Chief Minister said numerous companies have engaged with the Telangana pavilion and established agreements in Davos. "The BRS leaders believe that the level of investments currently secured is unprecedented compared to previous efforts under the leadership of K Chandrashekar Rao," he pointed out.
"Investments in Telangana have increased due to the energy policy. The investors have showed full trust in the Congress government and have come forward with huge investments. Telangana is at the top in per capita income," Revanth Reddy said.
