Hyderabad: SCCL CMD B N Balaram on Wednesday said that although the Singareni company is conducting programmes in a transparent and corruption-free manner, some miscreants were cheating innocent people. He warned that strict action would be taken against such persons. He said that the State's anti-corruption department and criminal investigation agencies had already conducted an investigation on the irregularities committed in the name of the medical board.

He said that After the submission of a report by CID on the involvement of middlemen in the recent medical board process, he said that action would be taken against the accused on the basis of the report . “As part of this, the information of employees and others who are doing things that are causing loss to the company, including the medical board, should be sent to the vigilance department of the company on 9491144104 number or to the mail [email protected] with proofs,” he said. He also said that It had been decided to keep the details of those who provide accurate information on the miscreants confidential and added that a reward of Rs 10,000 would be given to such whistleblowers .

He held a review meeting on the vigilance department through video conferencing from Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad. Speaking on the occasion, he said that there was no place for corruption and irregularities in Singareni company and added that the vigilance department should keep a close watch on the miscreants and the workers should also come forward voluntarily to cooperate in curbing the corruption.

“If singareni employees are found to be involved in corruption in the process of compassionate appointment, they will be removed from their jobs and action will be taken against others as per law,” he warned He also warned that the terminal benefits available with the company would be withheld for those who provide false certificates and were unfit. He made it clear that the compassionate recruitment process was being implemented for those who are suffering from health problems . The CMD while stating that contract works worth crores of rupees are being carried out annually in Singareni , he said that the vigilance department should also monitor on the quality of these works and added that Strict action would be taken against the concerned officials and contractors if the quality of the contract works was not maintained.

He warned that Hydra-style measures would be taken to protect Singareni's properties and quarters. GM (Vigilance) Prasada Rao and Vigilance officers from Kothagudem participated in the meeting.
