Mudragada’s Residence Attacked

Hyderabad: Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham’s residence was attacked at Kirlampudi in Kakinada district. A man hit the gate of Mudragada's residence with a tractor. He also hit the car parked there with a tractor. He is suspected to be a Jana Sena activist. The youth has been taken into custody and is being questioned by the police.

The young man claimed that he attacked Mudragada’s residence as he was offered Rs 50,000 by Jana Sena party activists. However, Jana Sena party condemned the attack on Mudragada's residence. Jaggampet Jana Sena in-charge Tummalapalli Ramesh said their party president Pawan Kalyan and other party leaders had respect for Mudragada and added that the Jana Sena party has nothing to do with the attack. Stating that they will not ignore such attacks, he said action should be taken against the attacker.

When the followers of Mudragada Padmanabham learnt about the attack, they reached his house. Mudragada's son Giribabu recently started village-level tours in Prathipadu assembly constituency. Mudragada's followers say that the attack may have taken place due to the good response of the people for tours of Giribabu.

The YSRCP high command has appointed Giribabu’s son as party coordinator of Prathipadu in Kakinada district. Mudragada Padmanabham had hoped for the Prathipadu MLA ticket for his son in the last elections. However, due to some reasons, he did not get the ticket. Recently, the party decided to appoint him as the coordinator. A heated discussion was going on in the constituency that he may be appointed as the YSRCP in-charge soon.
