Hyderabad: Minister for Tourism and Culture Jupally Krishna Rao has emphasised that no matter how much progress one makes, it is essential not to forget one's roots, culture, and traditions. He stated that our rich heritage is our unique identity.

The Minister was speaking at a tourism event organised by the tourism department in Dubai during his two-day visit. The event was attended by Dubai Tourism Officer Jasim Mohammed Al Awadi, Government Whip Aadi Srinivas, and other officials.

On the occasion, Jupally inquired about the role of tourism hubs in the economic development and progress of Dubai. He discussed how the methods adopted in Dubai could help develop various tourist attractions in Telangana, creating revenue and job opportunities.

In his address, Minister highlighted the dangers of losing cultural values and family systems in today's scientific and technological era, stating that this loss leads to several societal problems.

He stressed the responsibility of passing on the importance of these traditions to future generations and urged people to use their wealth for the greater good of society.

The Minister also mentioned that the Bathukamma festival is a reflection of Telangana's culture, showcasing women's strength. The festival played a crucial role in uniting the people of Telangana during the movement for statehood, he added.
