Hyderabad: Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu said that BRS working president KT Rama Rao should speak based on facts rather than making baseless accusations against the State government.

Speaking to the media at Uppal Ward Office here on Tuesday, Sridhar Babu stated that having served as a minister for ten years, KT Rama Rao should uphold dignity in public discourse. "If not, it is he who will lose credibility. The state's financial downfall is a direct consequence of your ruling," he said.

"The allegations against the State government regarding TDR (Transfer of Development Rights) are completely unfounded. It was during their tenure that irregularities occurred—have they conveniently forgotten,” Sridhar Babu said.

The Minister further stated that the State government is balancing development and welfare while actively working to restore the state’s economy, which was pushed into crisis.

"We are open to collaborating with anyone who genuinely contributes to the state's progress. Our approach is transparent and unbiased," he said.

The Minister said the State government is fully prepared for a constructive Assembly session and urged that the opposition leaders should participate and offer their insights for the State’s development.

Sridhar Babu said the GHMC was driven into financial ruin without allocating even a single rupee in funding.

"We are committed to developing Hyderabad to meet future demands, including the expansion of the metro network. An IT corridor will be developed between Uppal and Ghatkesar, enhancing economic opportunities in the region," he said.

The Minister further stated that the Musi River rejuvenation project will be carried out responsibly, ensuring no harm or displacement for underprivileged communities.

He assured that the Uppal-Narapally flyover will be completed at the earliest, overcoming technical challenges.

"A Skill Development Center will be established in Uppal to empower local youth. A proactive action plan has been devised to prevent drinking water shortages in Hyderabad during summer.

To curb pollution and prevent a Delhi-like crisis, RTC buses will be gradually replaced with electric buses in a phased manner," Sridhar Babu said.
