Komatireddy Lambasts KTR for Making Baseless Remarks Against CM Revanth
Minister Komatireddy Venkatreddy
Hyderabad: Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has launched a scathing attack on Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao for levelling baseless remarks against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in the name of Amruth scheme.
Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said BRS leader KT Rama Rao is deliberately indulging a mud-slinging campaign against the Chief Minister and also trying to malign the image of the State government with baseless allegations.
"The BRS is in a state of decline, with the party’s position worsening by the day. No one knows who the actual leader of the opposition is anymore. Several MLAs and Municipal Chairpersons have been leaving the BRS, creating a sense of chaos within the party," Komatireddy alleged.
He accused KTR of making irresponsible statements due to the crumbling state of his party and criticised him for accumulating a massive debt of Rs7 lakh crore during his tenure as the Municipal Administration Minister, alleging that Rs2 lakh crore of this were siphoned off by KTR's family.
The Minister questioned the source of Rs 8,888 crore and demanded that KTR provide a proper explanation.
Komatireddy also raised concerns over the Kaleshwaram Project scam and the collapse of Medigadda Barrage during the tenure of BRS government and said that BRS leaders should be punished for their corrupt activities.
He further accused BRS leaders KTR and Harish Rao of personally going to the United States to convince Prabhakar Rao, involved in a phone tapping case, not to return to India, fearing that if he does, it could lead to their imprisonment.
The BRS party’s "shop" is now shut down, yet the BRS leaders continue to make baseless allegations against Congress and the State government, Komatireddy said.
He challenged KTR to prove his accusations if he has the courage, asserting that Congress is ready for any challenge.
Despite the good works being done by the Congress government, KTR and his party only see corruption. Under BRS rule, the government was unable to even pay salaries on time, whereas the Congress government ensures payments on the 1st of every month, Komatireddy pointed out.
He exuded confidence that BRS would not win even a single seat in the upcoming local body elections.
