Another Train to Goa from tomorrow
Hyderabad: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy will flag-off the Secunderabad–Vasco–Da–Gama inaugural Express from Secunderabad station on October 6.
Transport Minister & Hyderabad District in-charge Ponnam Prabhakar, GHMC Mayor Vijayalakshmi Gadwal, Rajya Sabha MP M Anil Kumar Yadav, MLCs Vani Devi, AVN Reddy, M. S. Prabhakar Rao, Mirza Rahmat Baig, Mohd. Mahmood Ali, Mirza Riyazul Hassan Effendi, Dr B Venkat Narsing Rao, Amer Ali Khan, Prof. M. Kodanda Rama Reddy, MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav, are likely to grace the occasion. Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway and other senior Railway officials will also be present.
The train provides exclusive and direct train facility for the people travelling towards Karnataka & Goa. The Schedule of the train has a convenient train schedule to Goa & other intermediate stations which Caters to both reserved and unreserved segment passengers. It provides cost-effective transportation when compared with other modes of the transport and offers scope for rail users to plan their itinerary more conveniently. This train service helpful for the people travelling on different purposes like recreation, entertainment, tourism, education, healthcare and business purposes and boosts the socio-economic development of the people in the region by expanding employment opportunities.
The train connects cities i.e., Secunderabad, Mahbubnagar, Gadwal, Kurnool City, Dhone with the Vascodagama and is being operated for two days in a week in both the directions. The new train will cover a distance of about 854 kms in a travel time of about 20 hours in upward direction and 21 hrs in return direction. The train has been inducted with the latest state-of-the-art LHB coaches, which will provide a comfortable riding experience and modern amenities to the passengers. The train comprises of both AC and Non-AC coaches catering to all segments of the people. This train provides direct and exclusive train travel facility from Secunderabad, with convenient train schedule.
