KCR pays tributes to Ambedkar
Hyderabad: On the occasion of the death anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar, BRS party chief and former CM K Chandrasekhar Rao today recalled the contributions rendered to the nation and the possible efforts made by them on the occasion of the death anniversary of Ambedkar.
He said in the post-independence period of the country, the Constitution was given for the ideal self-government of the world by him. KCR praised Babasaheb's vision of incorporating the Constitution to ensure equal share and equity to the depressed classes in economic, social, political and cultural fields. He recalled that Article 3, which Ambedkar enshrined as part of the creation of States in the country, and his vision in this direction, paved the way for the formation of the Telangana State.
“To showcase his remarkable efforts and the spirit they have provided, we have retained his image as the tallest statue in Telangana in the world's highest form. In order to celebrate the great glory of B R Ambedkar, who paved the way for the governance of the country through his Constitution, we have renamed the Telangana administrative building as 'Dr B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat' like never before in the history of the country,” he reminded.
He said his government had worked hard to show the world the immortal glory of Ambedkar, who fought against discrimination all his life and added that it had also implemented many revolutionary programmes. He said the BRS government had implemented the Dalit Bandhu scheme inspired by Ambedkar to strengthen the social dignity of the Dalit community, which has been discriminated against for generations as untouchable communities, economically.
He said the Dalit bandhu scheme had achieved good results in the direction of lighting up the lives of the Dalits. Continuing the same spirit, KCR said only by making necessary efforts to build an equitable society free of discrimination in all spheres, they can pay a rich tribute to the great personality of Ambedkar.
