Gutha Slams Opposition for Politicising Musi Rejuvenation Project
Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Legislative Council Chairman
Hyderabad: Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy has criticised the Bharat Rashtra Samithi and Bharatiya Janata Party for their stance on the Musi rejuvenation project.
Speaking to the media here on Friday, Sukhender Reddy welcomed the Musi rejuvenation project initiated by the State government and said that the river cleaning initiative actually began during then Prime Minister Vajpayee government.
"KCR has also introduced plans in the name of 'Riverfront development project. However, the previous governments only made promises without concrete action. Over a thousand houses were constructed and handed over to the people living in Musi's catchment area at Nandanavanam," he said.
Continuing his speech, Sukhender Reddy further stated, "The opposition parties are falsely promoting that the current government is doing something entirely new. The opposition must act responsibly on public issues. Criticising everything from a political standpoint is not appropriate."
Sukhender Reddy urged, "The people of the erstwhile Nalgonda district must expose the opposition's stance. If necessary, they should launch a movement for the Musi rejuvenation project."
