Give Permission for Karimnagar-Hasanparthi New Railway Line: Bandi Sanjay

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar has requested union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to give permission for the construction work of Karimnagar-Hassanparthi new railway line as the complete report (DPR) of the project is ready. Bandi Sanjay, who met Ashwini Vaishnav in Delhi, handed over the letter in this regard.

The new railway line from Karimnagar to Hassanparthi, which will be constructed for 61.8 km, will cost Rs 1,415 crore and the DPR is also ready. Stating that the matter is pending with the Railway Board, he sought the immediate approval of the project. He said that the completion of the new railway line would greatly benefit the people of his Karimnagar parliamentary constituency and added that the commercial connectivity between Karimnagar and Warangal would increase and help in economic growth.

Sanjay also handed over another letter to the Railway Minister requesting him to upgrade uppal railway station under Karimnagar parliamentary constituency and direct the authorities to halt the Dakahin Express train at Jammikunta station.

In his letter, he said that as part of Uppal railway station upgrade, the platform and railway station building should be modernised and new railway services should be introduced. He also said that facilities related to passenger movement should be improved, parking should be expanded, solar panels should be installed, ticket counter and luggage management system should be improved. He urged the central government to immediately sanction funds for the modernisation of Uppal railway station, which will greatly benefit the people.
