Gaddar Telangana Film Awards Will be Presented in April: Dil Raju

Hyderabad: Telangana State Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju today revealed that the State government had decided to give Gaddar Telangana Film Awards.

Speaking to media persons on the issue, he said the government had also formed a committee to this effect. He also said the rules and regulations had been framed and added that the awards would be given for the year 2024. He also said not only Gaddar Awards, but also awards in the name of Paidi Jayaraj and Kantha Rao would be given by the State government. He revealed that an award is going to be given to encourage Urdu films. Dil Raju said the award would be given to the best films released from June 2014 to 2023.

Stating that the government was planning to give awards in April, Dil Raju said the money paid by some to the Film Development Corporation for Simha Awards since 2014 would be returned. He said since the awards are coming from the State of Telangana, everyone should support it. Dil Raju said a jury committee will be formed soon to select the best films in different categories.
