Delhi Schools Receive Another Bomb Threat
On Friday morning, at least 16 schools in Delhi received an email with a bomb threat, prompting a large search effort by multiagency. The latest threats come after at least 44 schools received similar emails on December 9.
These schools include Delhi Public School in East Kailash, Bhatnagar International School in Paschim Vihar, Salwan Public School in Mayur Vihar, and Cambridge School in Srinivas Puri, among others. The email received at 4:30 AM asked the schools to "reply back" in order to verify the sender's requests.
Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called the bomb threat emails "extremely serious and worrying" in a post on X, adding that it can "badly affect children." He also stated, "This is the second time this week that Delhi schools have received bomb threats, which is extremely serious and worrying. If this continues, how badly will it affect the children? What will happen to their studies?"
The police are investigating the source of the threat and taking precautions to safeguard the safety of students and faculty.
