Congress’s Graph Rising Nationwide: Bhatti
Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said the Congress party's graph is rising nationwide, signaling a downturn for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
In a chit chat with media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday, Bhatti highlighted the Congress party's recent victories in Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand States, emphasising that Congress defeated a BJP minister in Madhya Pradesh.
On farmer welfare, the Deputy Chief Minister reassured that the State government is preparing the guidelines for the implementation of "Rythu Bharosa" scheme.
Commenting on the statements made by BRS working president KT Rama Rao against the State government, Bhatti said that the BRS leader was in a state of confusion and nobody knows what he was speaking.
The Deputy Chief Minister dismissed the allegations, stating that Congress remains committed to freedom, welfare, and progressive governance. He criticised past promises of land distribution and employment by previous governments, questioning their failure to deliver.
Bhatti took pride in Congress' fulfillment of key promises, including free RTC bus rides for women, subsidised electricity up to 200 units, and rapid implementation of farmer loan waivers.
He highlighted that the government credited Rs18,000 crore to farmers' accounts within 15 days, a record in independent India's history.
The Deputy Chief Minister condemned the State of governance under the BRS rule, accusing it of financial mismanagement and leaving Telangana burdened with debt.
He emphasised Congress' dedication to inclusive governance and the welfare of marginalised communities through a comprehensive family survey.
Bhatti Vikramarka also addressed concerns about welfare hostels and residential schools, noting that strict monitoring is being implemented to ensure quality facilities and nutritious meals. Moreover, the Deputy Chief Minister informed that the State government's plans for a large-scale distribution of assigned lands to eligible poor families, reaffirming its focus on welfare and progress.
Speaking about the upcoming Assembly session, Bhatti urged the opposition to play a constructive role, ensuring debates focus on development rather than disruption.
