Congress Used Karnataka’s Valmiki Scam Money in Telangana: KTR
BRS working president KT Rama Rao
Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Wednesday alleged that the Telangana Congress had used Valmiki scam money in the recent Lok Sabha elections and added that what they said from the beginning had now turned out to be true. He demanded that the Congress leaders be punished for using the money meant for the welfare of tribals for election campaigning.
KTR said the Enforcement Directorate (ED), in its charge-sheet had confirmed that the Congress leader and former Karnataka minister B Nagendra was the key conspirator in the Valmiki scam. “Rs 187 crore of Karnataka Maharishi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation Limited (KSDDC) has been diverted by the Congress minister”, he alleged and claimed that the money was used by the Telangana Congress for funding the Lok Sabha elections.
He said Satyanarayana Varma, the main accused in the Valmiki scam, was a Hyderabad-based builder and added that the accused was very close to two key Congress leaders from Telangana. “It is suspected that Congress leaders here are also partners in his business. It is undeniable that there are many more Congress leaders. The investigating agencies should find out the truth about the Valmiki scam,” he demanded and appealed the authorities to severely punish the culprits.
