Congress MP lambasts BRS leaders for criticising CM Revanth's US tour
Hyderabad: Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy has lambasted the BRS leaders for criticising Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's US tour and asked how many crores of investments brought by former minister KT Rama Rao during the tenure of the BRS government.
Speaking to the media in New Delhi on Thursday, the Congress MP expressed anger at the BRS leaders for levelling derogatory remarks against the Chief Minister’s official tour to the US and alleged that the Opposition party was not able to digest the investments coming to the Telangana State under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
"The previous BRS government took loans at high interest rates. It did not use resources like the World Bank, which lends at low interest rates. The Telangana State was pushed into a debt trap due to lopsided policies adopted by the BRS government," he pointed out.
The Bhuvanagiri MP alleged that the BRS leaders were misleading the people with blatant lies and were indulging in a mud-slinging campaign against the Congress government since the first day it came to power in Telangana.
"We are inviting all investors to invest in Telangana, giving permission to all businesses except for ganja and cheap liquor. Our goal is to increase the wealth of Telangana State, providing job opportunities to the youth," Kiran Kumar Reddy said.
"During the tenure of BRS government, former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao went to Singapore and China countries for holidays. But, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, within eight months of assuming office, has visited foreign countries twice to bring investments to the Telangana. After the formation of Telangana, Revanth Reddy was the first Chief Minister who went to America for investments," the Congress MP said.
