CM Revanth urges Centre for sanction of 4,000 MW solar power
More solar power for TG sought

Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has asked Union Minister for Renewable Energy and Natural Resources Pralhad Joshi to extend the approvals for 4,000 MW of solar power generation that were previously awarded to Telangana under the PM Kusum scheme.
The Chief Minister, along with Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, called on Prahlad Joshi in New Delhi on Tuesday and brought the matter to the notice of the Union Minister.
He stated that the Union government, which had previously granted permission for 4,000 Megawatts to Telangana, has later reduced it to 1,000 Megawatts.
Revanth Reddy explained to the Union Minister that the State government is promoting solar power generation through women's groups in Telangana.
The Union Minister responded positively to the requests made by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy regarding the release of Civil Supplies department arrears and the renewal of 4,000 MW sanction.
Revanth Reddy was accompanied by Chief Minister's Office Secretary Manik Raj, State Civil Supplies Commissioner DS Chauhan, and Telangana Bhavan Resident Commissioner Gaurav Uppal.
