Hyderabad: Telangana DGP Jithender on Sunday said as citizens, everyone should be responsible towards the society. Reacting on the sensational Sandhya theatre incident, the DGP made it clear that personally, they were not against anyone.
Speaking at the inauguration of bharosa kendra at Kothapalli in Karimnagar district, he said Sandhya theatre incident was unfortunate and added that they were not against actor Allu Arjun. "We have taken action against him as per law. Safety and security of citizens is of utmost importance. Film promotion is not more important than the safety of the people. We have registered a case against actor Mohan Babu in connection with the attack on a journalist. Action will be taken against him as per law.
The DGP said the State government was committed to the safety of women and children and added that they were working round the clock for the safety of the people. "It is due to the initiative of the Telangana government that we are setting up the bharosa centres. Officials from other States are coming and visiting the centres. This will increase the safety of women and children. If there are any problems for the women, they can come to the centre. There will be a legal expert and a doctor here. Any kind of problems will be resolved," said DGP Jitender.
