Chandrababu has Scant Respect for Brahmin Community: Former MLA Malladi Vishnu
Fomer MLA Vishnu condemns Chandrababu Naidu
Hyderabad: YSRCP's Vijayawada Central constituency in-charge and former MLA Malladi Vishnu on Friday alleged that the coalition government and CM Chandrababu Naidu have little respect for Brahmins of the Andhra Pradesh.
Claiming that Naidu had promised that Brahmins would be accommodated in the devasthanam boards, he asked as to why there were no Brahmins in the board of TTD. He claimed that Naidu boasted about the importance being given by his government to the Brahmins in his cabinet meeting and State government GOs but failed to give MLA tickets to the leaders of the community in 2024, 2019 and 2014 assembly elections.
Stating that the Endowments commissioner said 600 Vedic scholars were being given scholarships of Rs 3,000 each, Vishnu said a resolution had been made on the issue by the YSRCP government. “It's not just a resolution. Funds have also been released. Now that there is no place for Brahmins, it has been announced that scholarships are being given to divert it. Chandrababu has little regard for the Brahmin community. There is no place for the Brahmins anywhere in the MLA, MLC and Rajya Sabha elections.
Today, the decision taken by them in the cabinet has been violated. Not a single ticket was given. Brahmins are not represented in TTD. Chandrababu's government has completely failed in respecting the Brahmin community in Hindu society and spiritual thought,” he alleged.
