Cabinet Sub-committee okays Rythu Bharosa
Hyderabad: The Cabinet Sub-Committee, constituted by the State government on the implementation of the Rythu Bharosa scheme, has suggested to provide the financial assistance to all cultivating farmers.
The Cabinet sub-committee, led by its Chairman and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Members, including Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao and Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, discussed the modalities of the Rythu Bharosa scheme.
The final decision on the implementation of Rythu Bharosa will be taken in the upcoming cabinet meeting, which is scheduled to be held on January 4.
The Cabinet Sub-Committee has also decided to provide the Rythu Bharosa to every farmer who cultivates crops and opined that IT payment and land limit should not be imposed on the scheme.
It seems that the Cabinet sub-committee has suggested that the State government should take new applications from farmers for the implementation of Rythu Bharosa.
Applications from farmers are likely to be accepted from January 5 to 7. Similarly, It has been decided to identify the cultivated lands through official surveys and satellite mapping. There is a possibility of implementing the farmer's guarantee from the Sankranti festival on January 14. According to the officials, there is information that there are 1.53 crore acres of agricultural land. If the uncultivated lands are removed, there is a possibility of getting Rythu Bharosa scheme for 1.30 crore acres.
