Hyderabad: The 27th trip of the Bharat Gaurav covering first Maha Kumbh Punya Kshetra Yatra has commenced its journey on Monday from Secunderabad Railway station. The theme-based Tourist Circuit Bharat Gaurav Train, which was launched by Indian Railways to showcase India’s rich cultural heritage and magnificent historical places, has been a huge success among Rail passengers.

The Bharat Gaurav Train was flagged off by Sr Citizen Tapan Chandra, 77-year passenger in the presence of P Raj Kumar, Group General Manager, IRCTC from Secunderabad Railway station. The first Maha Kumbh Punya Kshetra Yatra, Bharat Gaurav train which commenced its journey will cover divine/pilgrimage places of Varanasi-Prayagraj-Ayodhya.

The Maha Kumbh Punya Kshetra Yatra for seven nights/eight days from January 20, 2025 to January 26, 2025 offers a unique opportunity for Rail passengers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to have darshan of the famous Triveni Sangam at Prayagraj, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Kashi Vishalakshi and Annapurna Devi at Varanasi, Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi, Hanuman Garhi at Ayodhya while boarding and de-boarding facility for the passengers at Bhongir, Jangaon, Kazipet, Warangal, Mahbubabad, Dornakal, Khammam & Madhira in Telangana and Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Tuni, Duvvada, Vizag (Pendurthi), Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh.

The whole trip is covered over a period of seven nights/eight days. It includes all travel facilities (including both rail as well as road transport), accommodation facility, catering arrangements (Morning Tea, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner – both on-board and off-board).

Security on train (including CCTV cameras installed in all coaches), public announcement facility in all coaches, Travel insurance and presence of IRCTC Tour Managers throughout the travel for assistance; IRCTC will also run a second “Maha Kumbh Punya Kshetra Yatra” Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train from February 15 to February 21.

Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, SCR, expressed his happiness at the good response received from the passengers for the Bharat Gaurav Tourist train from SCR. He stated that Bharat Gaurav trains are giving major fillip to the growth of spiritual Tourism in the country. He appealed Rail users to utilize the opportunity to visit culturally prominent and historical places.

IRCTC has announced another trip of “Maha Kumbh Punya Kshetra Yatra” Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train starting from Secunderabad Railway Station. The train will cover famous Triveni Sangam at Prayagraj; Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Kashi Vishalakshi and Annapurna Devi at Varanasi: Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi, Hanuman Garhi at Ayodhya, while providing boarding / de-boarding facility at important enroute stations like Secunderabad, Kazipet, Warangal, Khammam in Telangana and Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Tuni, Duvvada, Vizag (Pendurthi), Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh.
