Another Hyderabad Woman Taken for Ride by Scamsters

Hyderabad: A 21-year-old female student from Hyderabad received a message on WhatsApp regarding an online Google rating task. Later, she was asked to join a Telegram group for daily Google review rating tasks. After joining, the scammers started asking her for a small investment, promising a higher refund in return. Initially, she received some money, which built trust.

Then, the scammers sent her a link, asking her to create a profile for a Bitcoin (BTC) account to supposedly earn more profits. They asked her to pay Rs 1.9 lakh. After she made the payment, they asked her to proceed to a third step, which involved another payment, with the promise of doubling the amount.

The victim refused to pay again, but the scammers insisted that only after this transaction would she receive a refund. They claimed she could not get her money back until the payment was made. The scammers are still messaging her, asking for the pending amount in exchange for the refund. The victim's entire invested amount is displayed on a Google portal and the website exchangegx66.com. Victim made a complaint for recovery of her money.
