Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal caused a lot of talk on social media when he shared a job ad with a strange condition.

He said that anyone applying for the job had to donate ₹20 lakh to Feeding India and work for a year without getting paid.

This unusual request got a lot of attention and made people comment about it online.

Anupam Mittal, the founder of Shaadi.com, also joined in. He posted a funny message on LinkedIn.

He said that if people couldn’t afford the ₹20 lakh donation, they could apply for a “Chief of What?” job instead.

He joked that the job would include going through HR and holding the title for six months.

Some people thought it was funny, but others didn’t like it. One person said it was “cheap” and “distasteful.”

Deepinder Goyal later explained that the ₹20 lakh donation was not a serious part of the job.

He said it was just a way to find people who would understand the value of a fast career. Even though there was a lot of talk about it, Goyal said he had already received over 18,000 applications.
