Hyderabad: Sri City joined the global community in celebrating the 10th International Yoga Day with a vibrant and engaging event on Friday. The event, themed ‘Yoga for Self and Society’, highlighted the transformative power of yoga for individual well-being and societal harmony.
A Sanyasi Rao, General Manager and event organiser, began the ceremony with a cordial greeting. A Kodandam, Yoga Master and Secretary, AP Sports Education Association led participants through ‘surya namaskaras’, various ‘yoga asanas’, and pranayama. He emphasised the holistic nature of yoga, its ability to connect the mind and body.
Dr Ravindra Sannareddy, Founding Managing Director of Sri City, underscored the importance of yoga as a gift from India to the world. He said, “Yoga has the potential to reshape our lives and society. By fostering mindfulness and self-discipline, it encourages conscious living, promotes positive change, and fosters sustainable habits. As individuals find inner peace, they contribute to a more harmonious and connected community.”
