Visakhapatnam: The trade unions of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant have deferred their threat to go on strike on January 29 and 30 following a promise by the management to hold talks with them over wage revision for non-executives. The promise came after the Chief Labour Commissioner (Central) asked the management to consider wage revision within two and half months.

“We hope the management will consider our demand for implementation as per the ecision taken at National Committee for Steel Industry (NJCS) with retrospective effect, recognised union leader D Adinarayana told Bizz Buzz on Thursday.

Earlier, a HR officer of RINL stated that they will initiate the process for amicable settlement of wage revision as per framework decided by NJSC agreement, profitability of the organisation and approval of the Ministry of Steel.
