Virat Kohli made a highly anticipated return to domestic cricket after 12 years on Day 1 of the Ranji Trophy match between Delhi and Railways at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Despite not getting an opportunity to bat, Kohli turned heads with his presence, attracting an enthusiastic crowd of over 15,000 fans, who flooded the stadium from the early morning hours.

Delhi, having bowled Railways out for 241, reached 41/1 at Stumps. The Railways' innings were in trouble early on, with the team reduced to 66/5. However, a resilient century partnership between Upendra Yadav (95) and Karn Sharma helped them recover. Navdeep Saini and Sumit Mathur were the standout bowlers for Delhi, each picking up three wickets. Kohli, who is playing under the captaincy of Ayush Badoni, played an important role in the team's morale, even though he didn't get a chance to bat.

The packed stadium showed just how much excitement Kohli's return to domestic cricket had generated.
