Vasavi Club organises vote awareness drive

Hyderabad: Vasavi Club of Buddhapurnima, a primary unit of Vasavi Clubs International, on Sunday organised a unique program called #GoVote, a voter awareness program to encourage more people to go out and vote on the polling day - May 13.
“Despite the best efforts by the Election Commission of India as well as many agencies, NGOs, still many urban voters are taking voting day as holiday and not casting their vote. We at the Vasavi Club of Buddapurnima wanted to do our bit. That is why we organised #GoVote Voter Awareness Drive,” said Proddaturu Veerabhadrudu, president of the Vasavi Club of Buddhapurnima, at the fifth regular meeting held at Hotel Parklane, in Secunderabad on Sunday.
The club also felicitated mothers on the eve of the forthcoming Mothers’ Day and gave away the prizes to the winners of the ‘Tol Mol Ke Bol’ challenge.
