The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 notification today, January 22. This year, 979 vacancies have been announced, and the detailed information bulletin, syllabus, and exam pattern can be accessed at http://upsc.gov.in.

Highlights of UPSC CSE 2025 Notification

- Notification Timeline: Unlike previous years, when notifications were issued in February, this year, the process begins in January.

- Prelims Exam Date: The preliminary examination is scheduled for May 25, 2025.

- Mains Exam Schedule: The descriptive mains examination will commence on August 22, 2025, and will span five days.

- Vacancies: Out of the total 979 vacancies, 38 are reserved for Persons with benchmark disabilities.

Application Details

- Last Date to Apply: The online application process closes on February 11, 2025.

- Photograph Guidelines: Applicants must upload a photo taken within the last 10 days from January 12, 2025, with the face occupying three-fourths of the space, along with the name and date of capture clearly mentioned.
