Prime Minister Justin Trudeau condemned the violence at a Hindu temple in Brampton.

He called it "unacceptable" and stressed the importance of religious freedom.

The attacks targeted worshippers and are linked to Sikh activists. Police were present, but no one has been arrested.

MP Chandra Arya pointed out the rise of violent extremism and urged Hindu-Canadians to defend their rights.

Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown called for strict punishment for those responsible, saying everyone should feel safe in their places of worship.

Toronto MP Kevin Vuong criticised government leaders. He said they are not doing enough to protect Hindu Canadians.

He stated that Canada has become a safe place for radicals. The Indian High Commission expressed concern for the safety of people attending a consular event at the temple.

This violence occurs during ongoing tensions between India and Canada.

There have been accusations of spying and the killing of activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Vancouver.

Previous attacks on Hindu temples in Canada have also raised concerns within the Indian community.
