Telangana DCA suspends license of 6 wholesalers

Drugs Control Administration (DCA), Telangana on Tuesday said it has suspended licenses of six wholesalers in the State for 30 days, due to illegal procurement of Insulin injections (pre-filled pens), without purchase bills. This action will be complemented with the initiation of prosecution proceedings. DCA has seized stocks worth a total of Rs 51.92 lakh during the raids.
The list of wholesalers include Drug Hub in Secunderabad, and the worth of stock seized is Rs 6.70 lakh; Sree Thirumala Pharma in Uppal with stock worth Rs 3.52 lakh; Shree Paras Medical Agencies in Sultan Bazaar with Rs 9 lakh worth stock; Sri Ganesh Pharma Distributors in Nagole with Rs 14 lakh; Sree Raja Rajeshwara Distributors in Kapra with Rs 2.70 lakh, and Sri Balaji Agencies in Kachiguda with Rs 16 lakh worth stock.
DCA in a press note said that during raids conducted from March 15 to 20, 2024 at six medical distributors in Hyderabad, it detected insulin injections illegally procured from New Delhi without purchase bills.
