On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted a meeting with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Hyderabad House in Delhi. According to Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, the leaders discussed the full range of India-UAE relations and future areas of collaboration.

The meeting was attended by Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and other officials.

Jaiswal shared on X, "A warm welcome for a close friend. PM @narendramodi received HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi at Hyderabad House. Discussions on the entire spectrum of India - UAE bilateral relations and future areas of cooperation lie ahead."

The Crown Prince, who arrived in New Delhi on September 8 for his first official visit to India, was greeted by Piyush Goyal and given a ceremonial welcome upon landing.

Jaiswal highlighted, "A new milestone in a historic relationship. His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Delhi on his first official visit to India. Warmly received by @CimGOI @piyushgoyal and accorded a ceremonial welcome."

During his visit, Sheikh Khaled is set to meet President Droupadi Murmu and pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat. On September 10, he will travel to Mumbai to participate in a Business Forum with leaders from both countries.

The Ministry of External Affairs noted that the visit aims to bolster the already strong India-UAE bilateral relationship and explore new partnership opportunities. This follows Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the UAE in February, where he and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed the India-UAE bilateral relationship and signed eight agreements, including an MoU for the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEEC). The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) has also contributed to significant growth in trade relations between the two nations.
