The November 22 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown aired live from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, home of the Utah Jazz.
This episode built on the dramatic moments from last week, featuring exciting matches and intense storylines as WWE continued to prepare for Survivor Series: WarGames 2024.
Here’s a complete summary of the 11/22 episode of *WWE SmackDown*, with highlights, results, and a list of winners.
Solo Sikoa and the Rogue Bloodline
Solo Sikoa’s music hit as he appeared with the rogue Bloodline, featuring Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Bronson Reed. They made their way into the ring alongside their Tribal Chief. Solo took the microphone and asked the Salt Lake City crowd to acknowledge him.
He reminded everyone that Survivor Series was just one week away, and his crew was ready to dominate. Solo called out Roman Reigns, who wasn’t present at the arena, and told him to surrender that night. Solo declared that after Roman’s surrender, his crew would have to acknowledge him as the new Tribal Chief.
Women’s United States Championship Tournament – Bianca Belair vs Chelsea Green vs Blair Davenport
Bianca Belair entered the ring for the second match of the WWE Women’s US Title tournament. Blair Davenport followed, and Chelsea Green was the final participant to enter.
The match began with all three women battling for a quick victory. Belair and Green engaged in a brawl, and Green went for a cover, but Davenport broke it up. Davenport took control, delivering a stomp from the top rope to Belair’s spine.
After a commercial break, Belair regained control with heavy shots from the top rope, but Green intervened. Green climbed to the top and hit a superplex on Davenport, while Belair followed with a 450 splash. Green then eliminated Belair from the ring and attempted a cover on Davenport, but Belair returned to break it up.
The match continued with high-flying moves and near falls. In the end, Green delivered the Unprettier on Davenport and secured the win, advancing to the semi-finals of the tournament alongside Bayley.
Backstage, a segment showed Jade Cargill injured on top of a broken windshield. Bianca rushed backstage to check on her partner and left for the hospital, as Naomi and Bayley stood with GM Nick Aldis.
United States Championship Match: LA Knight vs Santos Escobar
United States Champion LA Knight made his entrance as WWE recapped Shinsuke Nakamura’s attack on Knight the previous week. Santos Escobar of Legado Del Fantasma entered with his crew for the title match, but his entrance was interrupted by a video from Shinsuke Nakamura.
In the video, Nakamura addressed Knight, criticizing him for his insecurities and claiming that he understood the champion better than Knight himself. Nakamura urged the crowd to chant his name and delivered a cryptic message. As the video ended, Escobar attacked Knight, preventing the match from officially beginning.
This set the stage for more rivalry and drama leading into Survivor Series.
