Our tertiary care hospitals are a testament to Sparsh’s vision of revolutionising healthcare through new technology, expertise, experience, and accessibility -- Dr Sharan Shivaraj Patil, Chairman & chief orthopedic surgeon, Sparsh Group of Hospitals

Bengaluru: The Bengaluru-based Sparsh Group of Hospitals is set to launch its latest state-of-the-art facilities in Hennur and Sarjapur in Bengaluru. The Group already runs seven hospitals in the city.

“Our tertiary care hospitals are a testament to Sparsh’s vision of revolutionising healthcare through new technology, expertise, experience, and accessibility,” Dr. Sharan Shivaraj Patil, Chairman & chief orthopedic surgeon, Sparsh Group of Hospitals, told Bizz Buzz.

The new units will not only elevate medical infrastructure in Bengaluru but also create substantial job opportunities, making a notable impact on the local economy, he said, adding that the Rs 300-crore Hennur facility alone will generate 1,800 direct and indirect jobs.

The Sparsh Group has been debt-free so far, but it has borrowed some money for the two upcoming units. There is no private equity funding in the Group, Patil said.

A key feature of the Group is its focus on cutting-edge technology to improve patient outcomes and enhance accessibility. The hospital’s vision is to bring global medical advancements to India, and this is manifested with the adoption of robotics, AI-driven diagnostics, and 3D-printing technology among others, Patil said. It is committed to investing Rs100 crore to build a technology campus.

Another feature of the Group’s strategy is to stay focused on a single geography—in fact, on Bengaluru. The launch of new units is a strategic step in addressing the evolving healthcare needs of Bengaluru’s rapidly growing communities. The new units will also offer personalised and data-driven treatment plans supported by advanced research and development, Patil said.

The Group aims to bridge the gap in specialty care, ensuring world-class treatment is accessible to all. “Innovation should not be a privilege; it should be the standard. Our approach combines expertise with breakthrough technology to enhance patient outcomes while making care more efficient and cost-effective. The new units will represent our commitment to premium yet very accessible healthcare,” Patil said.

The Group aims to establish more than 1,700 beds across its network. From the existing seven hospitals, this year with Hennur and Sarjapur, the Group will have nine hospitals with a focus on world-class quality care, Patil said.
