Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present Union Budget-2025 on Saturday. It’ll be her eighth consecutive budget under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which is a record for any FM in independent India.

Former FMs- P Chidambaram and Pranab Mukherjee had presented budget for 9 times and 8 times, respectively. However, those under different Prime Ministers.

The Budget Session will be held from January 31 to April 4 in two phases. The first part of the Session will end on February 13 and the second phase will begin on March 10.

Sitharaman will soon level the record of 10 budgets presented by former PM Morarji Desai over different periods. Desai had presented a total of 6 budgets during his tenure as FM in 1959-1964, and 4 budgets during 1967-1969.
