Hyderabad: The upper age limit of dependents applying for compassionate employment in Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has been increased from 35 years to 40 years, according to a company release issued on Tuesday.
Following the recent assurance given by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu to the Singareni workers, Singareni management has decided to increase the maximum age limit for compassionate appointments from 35 years to 40 years. N Balaram, SCCL Chairman and MD, stated that orders were issued to this effect on Monday and would be implemented to provide jobs to the eligible persons.
The new rule on age limit would be applicable from March 9, 2018. This ruling will immediately benefit around 300 people who are waiting for a job since 2018. Also, more people will benefit in the coming days. Some people who have crossed the upper age limit are allegedly resorting to wrong ways with fraudulent verification documents to get jobs in Singareni Colieries. As a result, they are facing vigilance cases and losing the benefits they are entitled, it is said.
