Sandhya Aqua denies charge

Visakhapatnam: Sandhya Aqua Exports Pvt Ltd, against whom CBI registered a case after finding suspected narcotics substance in a container ordered by them from Brazil, has said that in in so far as their company is concerned, they are innocuous of any such alleged narcotic content being exported in their name, A company spokesman said, “We only attempted for a genuine transaction with ICC, Brazil after receiving positive reviews from industry stakeholders for the purchase of “dry yeast” and further allowed the shipment after receipt of genuineness certificate from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply – MAPA, Federative Republic of Brazil vide their certificate dt.17-01-2024.”
