Samsung has long marketed its foldables as high-end products with a premium price tag. However, despite previous denials, rumours suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip FE, a more affordable version, may be released next year. In fact, a new leak hints at the chipset that could power this more cheap flip-style foldable tablet.

According to leaker Jukanlosreve's post on X, "According to South Korean media, Samsung has decided to release a slim model as a follow-up to the Galaxy S25 series. If the response is positive, they are considering lineup changes for the S26 series. I believe this will involve the adoption of the Exynos 2400 and a launch in April."

He is the same individual source who recently revealed the details about the Galaxy S25 Slim—the Galaxy Z Flip FE might use the same chipset as Samsung's current flagship, the Galaxy S24. But it's not the processor most would expect, as the leaker reports that Samsung is likely to equip the Galaxy Z Flip FE with the Exynos 2400 chipset.

Additionally, if the tipster is right, Samsung fans may be a little surprised to learn that a mid-range smartphone can have the same SoC as the Galaxy S 24.
