Salesforce brings climate focused hackathon to Hyd

Salesforce, US-based software company on World Earth Day launched ‘Reboot the Earth’, a series of climate-focused hackathon. The India event is set to take place in Hyderabad on May 22 and 23, 2024. Computer programmers, administrators, architects, individuals familiar with the Salesforce ecosystem, scientists, and other individuals have been invited to develop solutions to address the current climate crisis.

For the hackathon, the company has collaborated with five United Nations agencies - the UN Secretariat, UN Youth Office, Food and Agriculture Organisation, UN Office of Information and Communications Technology, and Digital Public Goods Alliance.

Sanket Atal, Managing Director - India Operations, Salesforce India, said: “We are not just participants but proactive leaders in the nature-positive movement. Our collaboration with the United Nations is one such testament to our resolve.”

Salesforce in an official release said that ‘Reboot the Earth’ is a platform for innovators to collaboratively develop open source public goods. The innovations will address local climate crises by leveraging technology to develop sustainable solutions and catalyse meaningful global progress towards sustainability.
